Kasoa: Two notorious robbers killed in fierce gun battle with police

Two notorious armed robbers have been killed after they engaged in a shootout with the police.

The incident occurred at Awutu Bosomabena today, Friday, 17 May 2019.

The suspects were killed as they attempted to rob a quarry stone company located at Awutu Bosomabena in the Awutu Senya West district of Central Region.

Witnesses say the robbers started shooting at officers who had been deployed to the scene following a distress call.

The yet-to-be identified armed men were shot in the crossfire. Their bodies have since been deposited at a hospital nearby as part of police investigations.

Residents who spoke to Dailymailgh.com want security to be tightened in the community, which has witnessed robberies over the years.
