Former Majority Leader and Suame MP Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, along with his spouse, have made a generous donation of GHC 150,000.00 towards the #HealKomfoAnokye Project.
The initiative, spearheaded by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is part of his legacy projects aimed at renovating the ‘GEE’ block of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), which has remained largely unchanged since its establishment in 1955.
During a brief ceremony to present the donation, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu commended the Asantehene for his leadership in the initiative and urged fellow Ghanaians to support the cause.
“We are privileged to witness the leadership of our King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in championing this noble initiative. As proud citizens of Asanteman, we stand firmly behind this project. That is why my wife and I are contributing our part to support this worthy cause,” stated the lawmaker.
Professor Otchere Addai-Mensah, CEO of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), expressed heartfelt gratitude upon receiving the generous donation. He also made a pledge to uphold transparency in the utilization of the donation.
Many individuals and corporate entities have been contributing their widow’s mite to support the project.
