Asante Kotoko SC finally got their revenge over City rivals King Faisal FC in their Ghana Premier League week 23 encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday afternoon.

Former Karela United FC left-back Imoro Ibrahim scored an excellent free early in the first half secured a 1-0 win over the Insha Allah lads in Week 23 clash.

Kotoko got their first win of the season over their neighbors in their third attempt as they pipped them 1-0.

Imoro came close to scoring again from a free-kick when Fabio Gama Dos Santos was brought down again at the edge of the box but his effort hit the crossbar.

Kotoko are now 10 points clear of the top of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season after beating king Faisal.

The Porcupine Warriors will welcome arch and bitterest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC next Sunday afternoon in the Super Clash at the same venue.

Kumasi King Faisal FC will be hoping to end their winless run when the face Berekum Chelsea FC in their next match.
