Kodua Frimpong: I won’t be surprised if NDC copies our manifesto

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for delaying the release of their manifesto ahead of the 2024 elections.

During the launch of the NPP’s manifesto in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, 2024, Frimpong Kodua remarked that he wouldn’t be surprised if the NDC ended up copying the NPP’s policies.

“Today is a very important day in our party calendar. After successfully making history and proving doubters wrong by electing a Northerner and a Muslim as our presidential candidate, we are again, as a political party, setting the pace by being the first to launch the manifesto for the 2024 election,” he stated.

Taking a jab at the opposition, he added, “I’m not surprised at all because even in exams, students who don’t prepare always want the good ones to start so they can copy them.”

Frimpong Kodua also used the occasion to commend the leadership of the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressing his confidence in Bawumia’s ability to lead Ghana effectively. “I trust Dr. Bawumia and I know he will be a great president of Ghana,” he affirmed.
