Asante Kotoko suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

The home team went behind inside the 6th minute as the visitors shocked the ecstatic home fans.

Jonah Osabutey dazzled past the helpless Asante Kotoko defense to set up experienced striker Kofi Owusu to break the deadlock.

Kotoko could not find their rhythm in the first half and allowed the away team to dominate the first 45 minutes.

The host failed to create any clear goalscoring chance in the second half despite making two attacking changes.

Kotoko were reduced to 10 men when Empem Dacosta stood on the foot of Osabutey in an off the ball incident.

Kotoko could not come back into the game and suffered their first defeat of the season at home by a solitary goal against an impressive Chelsea side.
