The head coach of Karela United, Johnson Smith, has vowed his boys will beat Asante Kotoko in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier one irrespective of the venue.
According to Smith, there is no better team in the country currently than his side as they eye a spot in next season’s Caf Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
“We have trained and played very well in the NC Special Competition which also served as a platform for a lot of my players to gain enough experience to beat Kotoko on Sunday,” the coach told Kumasi-based Otec FM on Tuesday.
He added: “We have played against Kotoko twice in the competition already and we know their strengths and weaknesses as a team and we are working very hard on that to exploit their weaknesses to our advantage.
“I am very confident in my team’s ability and I believe nothing can prevent us from lifting our first major trophy as a club and not even Kotoko with their rich history and huge followers on Sunday, June 23.”
