Legon Cities FC won their match day 13 by 4-1 against West African Football Academy (WAFA SC) on Friday night.

The Money Boys dismantled the Sogakope lads to hand them their biggest defeat in the Ghana Premier League 2019-20 season so far.

Cephas Doku gave the host the lead inside 26 minutes to make it 1-0 to host who always struggle to score.

After WAFA walloped Ashantigold 6-1 in Sogakope six days ago, many of the supporters who trooped to the stadium were expecting or feared another baptism of fire from the School Boys.

However, the best travellers in the Ghana league grabbed the equalizer before half time with a beautiful free kick goal from Sampson Doku to make it all square going into break.

The host released fire on the away team in the second half and got their reward when Ebenezer Nii Ardy scored three minutes after the recess to put Cities 2-1.

Cephas Doku grabbed his brace four minutes after the hour mark, making it 3-1 to the host who usually suffer for goals and turning the screws on and sending their fans into jubilation.

Eight minutes from full time, Fadili Yussif put the game beyond the visitors reach when he scored his first goal of the season to make sure the home team recored a resounding and their biggest win in the Ghana Premier League 2019-20 season.

WAFA’s defeat to Legon Cities is their first on the road this season after playing six games away without a defeat.
