Local players are not consistent – Black Stars coach Akonnor

Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor has said local based players are “inconsistent”.

According to him, the Ghana-based players are not consistent with their performances and would have to upgrade their game.

“The local players are not very consistent and that is why they hardly get recognition in the various national team”, he stated.

The former Ghana captain believes the players must be consistent if they want to be integral part of the national team.

“Players in the Ghana league are unable to play consistently for three to four games and would give any player who’s a consistent performer in his team locally in the senior national team,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
