Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Director of Elections and Information Technology for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared that the leadership of President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang symbolizes a return of honor and integrity to the presidency.

Speaking ahead of Mahama’s inauguration, Dr. Omane Boamah emphasized the importance of their administration in restoring the credibility of Ghana’s highest office. “I believe John Mahama and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s presidency signals a restoration of dignity and integrity to the presidency. And that is where the 24-hour economy will be activated from,” he stated.

Dr. Omane Boamah also reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to implementing the 24-Hour Economy Policy, a central component of its economic revitalization agenda. This initiative aims to transform Ghana’s economy into a more dynamic, continuous system that drives productivity, creates jobs, and improves service delivery.

President-elect Mahama has introduced a carefully selected team to execute this vision, including Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff and Augustus Goosie Tanoh, a seasoned economist and statesman, as the lead architect of the 24-Hour Economy Policy.

In an interview with Channel One TV, Dr. Omane Boamah expressed confidence in the capabilities of the team and their commitment to delivering on the administration’s promises. Highlighting Goosie Tanoh’s expertise, he remarked, “Anybody who knows him [Goosie Tanoh] will know that he has a razor-sharp mind. He has impeccable credibility, and he is the person who is going to be in charge. I believe that John Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang in the presidency signals a restoration of dignity and integrity to the presidency, and that is where the 24-hour economy will be activated from.”

With a clear vision and strong leadership, the new administration is poised to bring transformative changes to Ghana’s economy and governance.
