The government is set to host the National Economic Dialogue (NED) today, March 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss solutions for Ghana’s economic challenges.
The two-day forum, led by President John Dramani Mahama, seeks to develop strategies for sustainable economic growth. Speaking on the significance of the event, he emphasized the need for collective action in reshaping the country’s financial future. “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together” serves as the theme, highlighting his administration’s vision for economic recovery.
President Mahama stressed the importance of inclusive discussions, ensuring that voices from all sectors contribute to policy direction. The forum will host representatives from the private sector, academia, public institutions, and civil society, focusing on key areas such as:
Achieving Sustainable Macroeconomic Stability
Promoting Economic Transformation
Advancing Infrastructure Development
Implementing Structural Reforms
Ensuring Private Sector-Led Growth
Restoring Good Governance and Combating Corruption
With Ghana facing economic difficulties, Mahama underscored the importance of collaboration in rebuilding the nation. “This dialogue is about setting a new course—one that strengthens our economy, restores investor confidence, and improves livelihoods,” he stated.
The event is expected to produce actionable policy recommendations that will guide economic decisions in the coming years. Stakeholders will work toward defining clear commitments and milestones to drive meaningful change.
As discussions unfold, Ghanaians anticipate practical solutions that will shape the country’s economic trajectory and lay the foundation for long-term prosperity.
