President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to fostering a brighter and more prosperous future for Ghana’s youth and vulnerable populations, both within the country and across the continent.

In a Facebook post on December 24, Mahama shared insights from his recent visits to the Presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and Gabon. He described the meetings as part of his broader efforts to strengthen Ghana’s relationships with its neighbors and partners in West Africa and beyond.

“I just wrapped up an incredible visit with the Presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and Gabon as part of my commitment to fostering strong relationships with our geographical neighbours and friends in West Africa and on the continent,” he wrote.

During the discussions, Mahama emphasized shared values and aspirations for progress, focusing on opportunities for collaboration in areas such as trade, security, and sustainable development. He stressed that these partnerships aim to benefit not just the countries involved but also their citizens.

“My discussions with the various leaders reaffirmed our shared values and aspirations for progress across the continent. Our conversations touched on exploring opportunities for collaboration in trade, security, and sustainable development, ensuring that our partnerships benefit not only our nations but the people we serve,” Mahama noted.

He concluded by reaffirming his dedication to working tirelessly for the betterment of Ghana’s youth and the vulnerable, both within the subregion and beyond.

“I will continue to work both within and outside our subregion towards a brighter, more prosperous future for our youth and the vulnerable,” he added.
