President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his unwavering dedication and service to the nation.

 

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed IGP, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, President Mahama acknowledged Dr. Dampare’s significant contributions to law enforcement and national security in Ghana.

 

“Let me take this opportunity to also extend my deepest gratitude to the outgoing IGP. He has served our nation with dedication and commitment, and his contribution to law enforcement and national security will not be forgotten,” he stated.

 

The President further praised Dr. Dampare’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Ghanaians, emphasizing the lasting impact of his leadership on the police service.

 

In his closing remarks, President Mahama extended his best wishes to the former IGP, expressing confidence in his future endeavors.
