A man has died after falling from scaffolding at a building site, officials said on Friday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 —while work was ongoing on a classroom project at the Aputuogya D/A Basic School, police in the Bosomtwe District of the
Ashanti Region said.
The 35-year-old man was seriously injured after he fell from the 10 meter building which will accommodate pupils when completed.
He was taken to the Kumasi South Hospital at Atonsu —about half an hour drive from the scene, but later died while receiving treatment.
Police in the Bosomtwe District said it had invited the developer for questioning as part of its investigations into the incident.
At the time of filing this report, the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Offinso Government Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
Police have described the incident as “unnatural death”.
