Medeama 1-0 Ashantigold: Mauves send Miners back to pit

Tarkwa-based Medeama beat Obuasi Ashantigold 1-0 on Saturday in the Ghana Premier League.

The Yellow and Mauves bounced back to winning ways after suffering first league defeat in their previous outing at Dawu in the hands of Dreams FC.

Newly found ‘Prince of Goals’, Prince Opoku Agyeman scored the only goal of the game to win all three points for the host.

The visitors has recorded back – to-back defeats this season in a week after suffering a 1-0 loss in Tarkwa same as in last week’s encounter in Obuasi to Berekum Chelsea.

Medeama continue with a 100 percent home record having beaten Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Ashantigold respectively at the Tarkwa Akoon Park.
