Morocco to host AFCON 2025 from December to January 2026

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the dates for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in the Kingdom of Morocco.

 

Following a virtual meeting held on Friday, June 21, 2024, the CAF Executive Committee finalized the schedule for this prestigious tournament. Reliable sources indicate that the competition will kick off on December 21, 2025, and conclude on January 18, 2026.

 

This eagerly anticipated event will feature the best national teams from across Africa, highlighting the continent’s premier football talent.

 

In preparation, CAF announced that the qualifiers’ draw is slated for July 4, 2025, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The draw, scheduled to begin at 13:30 GMT, marks a crucial milestone on the road to the Africa Cup of Nations.
