Former Nigeria national Under-20 midfielder Seyi Adeleke has emphasized that enough motivation from his country’s football federation is the only antidote which can help them win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Lazio enforcer reiterated that there is no commitment in the current crop of Nigerian players and the Nigeria football ruling body needs to inspire them to go for the ultimate.
“The only thing which can help Nigeria win the AFCON is enough motivation from our federation,” Adeleke exclusively told Dailymailgh.com.
“Now, our chances are 50-50, I can’t really predict them because only a few of them are playing regularly in abroad.”
“Many of our Super Eagles players now are just playing in order to secure good deals and clubs, there’s no 100% commitment unlike the years of Rasheed Yekini, Emmanuel Amunike and others.”
Adeleke has also featured for clubs including Salernitana, Swiss outfit Bel Bienne and Sydney FC in Australia.
He recently ended his contract in Cyprus.
