The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council says it will soon take action against commuters and transport operators who do not patronize the newly constructed bus terminal located at the Dompoase Junction.
The Council says their activities not only obstruct the free flow of vehicular traffic but also contribute to the fast deterioration of the newly constructed Atonsu-Kyirapatre lake road.
In a statement signed by Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah, the Council directed that all commercial drivers loading on the shoulders of the lake road should move to the bus terminal or face prosecution.
The statement further added that security agencies will soon be deployed to check the activities of these drivers.
