The family of the murdered New Patriotic Party (NPP) treasurer Mark Ofori has placed a Ghc 50,000 for anyone who will help find the killer of their relative.

They believe the incident is a contract killing. Ofori was shot dead in his house on Wednesday alongside a security man at Fijai in Takoradi. The police and other security officers have since been to the place and commenced investigations.

The killer is still on the run with no information about him. According a brother of the deceased Sam Ellis, the fact that nothing was stolen from the house by the assailants makes the whole case suspicious.

“What we are saying is that we have placed ghc50, 000.00 on board for whoever has credible information about the killer. The killer just came to the house, he didn’t steal anything and just killed the person and left? It is my junior brother they wanted. It is a contract killing,” Ellis told the media.

Delix Ofori, sister of the deceased, appealled to the police to get to the bottom of the case and pursue the killers.

“We don’t know who did this to him, but we pray all those behind this will be revealed. All we are fighting and praying for is justice because he (Mark Ofori) was full of life. He was everything to us and the family. We are asking the security agencies to help us find the perpetrators of this crime,” she said.
