The atmosphere was filled with joy, unity, and hope when NAPO Inspires, a youth empowerment group linked to Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the current Minister of Energy and MP for Manhyia South, made a generous donation to the Kumasi Children’s Home.

The event, held on Friday (31 May), marked a special celebration of Dr. Prempeh’s 56th birthday, reflecting his enduring commitment to the welfare and empowerment of Ghana’s youth.

The donation included essential food items such as bags of rice and sugar, cartons of assorted drinks, boxes of biscuits, gallons of frying oil, sardines, toiletries, and bags of detergents. These items aim to provide relief and support to the children and staff at the home.

Project coordinator Ama Bempomaah who explained the motivation behind the gesture said, “We are here because of the current Minister of Energy and MP for Manhyia South, who just celebrated his 56th birthday. We thought it wise to make this donation as a way to show love.

“Our founder is seen by many as the best-performing MP. He is kind at heart and great at work. And so, if the NPP flagbearer is searching for a running mate, he should consider Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh,” she added.

She urged the inmates to “embrace your dreams, believe in yourselves, and know that you have the unwavering support of this initiative and the Honourable Minister himself.”

The group has previously made similar donations at the Osu Children’s Home and plans to extend similar gestures to other institutions.

Launched by the Honourable Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh Minister of Energy and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, the main aim of the group is to inspire and mentor the youth of Ghana.

The initiative aims to leverage the Minister’s experience and influential position to provide guidance, support, and opportunities for young Ghanaians, empowering them to reach their full potential.
