Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s dedication to combating corruption in Ghana.

This assertion was made in a Facebook post on Tuesday (13 August), following his receipt of Manasseh Azure Awuni’s latest book, which he accepted on behalf of the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and himself.

In his post, Dr. Prempeh highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s unwavering resolve to fight corruption without bias or malice, citing his proven incorruptibility as a cornerstone of his commitment to good governance.

“Dr. Bawumia has been unequivocal in his determination to fight corruption without fear or favour, ill-will or malice because of his proven incorruptibility,” he stated.

Dr. Prempeh also urged Manasseh Azure Awuni and the broader media fraternity to exercise caution and responsibility in their reportage and expression of opinions, emphasizing the importance of responsible journalism in the quest to deepen Ghana’s democracy.

He expressed his eagerness to read the new book and acquaint himself with its content, while reiterating the openness of the NPP to engage in open and honest discussions on issues that propel the nation forward.

“Our doors remain open for open and frank discussions on every subject matter that seeks to move our nation forward,” Dr. Prempeh affirmed.
