The National Sports Authority (NSA) has donated an amount of Ghȼ 10,000 to the Ghana Powerlifting Federation.
The Director-General of the NSA, Professor Peter Twumasi praised the Powerlifting Federation for their enormous display during the 2019 Commonwealth Games in Canada.
According to him, the money was given to the federation by the Authority to help maintain and develop powerlifting in Ghana.
Prof. Twumasi pleaded with corporate world to come together with a common purpose to help develop lesser known sporting activities in the country as Ghana plans to host the 2023 African games.
Four gold medalists were present at the event including, Juliana Arko who presented the medals won at the Common Wealth Games to the Director-General and pleaded with him to provide the federation with necessary training facilities to ensure they continue competing at the highest level and win more medals in future competitions.
