The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Okaikoi North Theresa Lardi Awuni has been engaging in sensitization programmes for her constituents to be mindful of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She donated Veronica Buckets, Gallons of Sanitizers, Gallons of Liquid Soups, Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol and other items that will help the people, especially those operating in public places stay safe from the disease.
She stated in a statement: “As Ghana grapple with the deadly novel coronavirus, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and solidarity to all the infected and the affected by the pandemic. My heart goes out especially to the people of Okaikoi North Constituency.
“Together with my constituency executives, we have responded to the directives of our Flagbearer – H.E John Dramani and Ghana Health Service by suspending all political activities in the constituency.
“In these trying times, my desire to serve the people of Okaikoi North Constituency has grown even stronger.
“For the past days, I have been supporting various institutions, groups, individuals and associations with resources running into millions including Veronica Buckets, Hand Sanitizers, Gallons of Sanitizers, Gallons of Liquid Soups, Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol.
“The above and many other activities I’ve engaged in to support leadership of the country in combating this dangerous pandemic in recent history.
“As I continue to increase my support to drive away this pandemic, I will like to urge and encourage my beloved constituents of Okaikoi North, to as much as possible stay at home to Save Lives, practice good personal hygiene which includes but not limited to regular Washing of hands, maintain social distancing and practice good health.”
