The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its 2024 election campaign will officially commence on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Tamale, Northern Region.

NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama shared this information during the ‘Get Fit and Ready Mahama Walk’ event in Accra on Saturday, July 20, 2024. He revealed that the campaign will span various regions across the country as the party gears up for the 2024 elections.

During the walk, Mahama stressed the importance of collective effort in the campaign. He noted, “The campaign is for all of us. It is not for Joshua Alabi, he is the campaign manager. It is not for your constituency campaign taskforces; it is not for your regional campaign taskforces. It is for every one of you. Any spare time you have, wear your T-shirts, we are going to send you leaflets and you go from house to house and distribute the leaflets to your neighbours and tell them the message of the NDC.”

Mahama also called on party agents and executives to remain vigilant on election day. “On that day, you are not just going to vote and go home. You will wait and protect the ballot box. I don’t want to call agents or executives and your lines are switched off,” he warned, emphasizing the need to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
