The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is pleased with the formation of its campaign team for the upcoming December elections, considering it a strategic effort aimed at winning.
On June 19, the NDC’s Functional Executive Committee unveiled the party’s national campaign team for the December 7 general elections. These appointments, made on June 18, followed extensive consultations and deliberations, as detailed in a statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey.
Kwetey will lead the campaign team as its Coordinator, with Joseph Yammin as his deputy, overseeing regional campaigns. The National Campaign Team will operate under the guidance of a Campaign Steering Committee, which includes the NDC’s national chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News, Alexander Segbefia, Head of the Running Mate’s Campaign, expressed confidence in the team’s strategy: “I think that strategically what we’ve done is good for us. We are happy with what we have done.”
He elaborated, “The meat will be put unto what is the bones and we are very conversant with how our campaign will run. We are very clear about our campaign, and we are happy with what we have put out.”
Segbefia also emphasized their resourcefulness, stating, “We are most effective with the little resources that we have. So, we are planning, planning, planning, execution. So, it is going to be very scientific.”
