Residents in Accra will be denied access to commercial vehicles or entry to public places including offices if they fail to wear face masks, the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has directed.
According to the minister, Ishmael Ashitey, wearing of face masks is mandatory within the region as part of measures to control the spread of the deadly COVID-19.
Also, the ‘Special Market Days’ in Accra have been suspended, according to a statement from the minister. Ghana has recorded 1,154 COVID-19 cases with 120 recoveries and nine deaths.
