Minerals Consultant Francis Owusu-Akyaw has been declared winner of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in the Juaben Constituency.

He polled 334 of the total votes, defeating sitting MP and Deputy Communications Minister Ama Pomaa Boateng who secured 120 votes.

The election which was supervised by the Electoral Commission was held at the Methodist School park on Saturday.

In his victory speech Francis Owusu-Akyaw pledged to unite the party to appreciate more votes for the party’s flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
