MP for Manhyia North Akwasi Konadu (Hon) on Sunday (23 December) took a significant step in his political journey when he submitted his completed nomination forms to the 2024 Parliamentary Elections Committee.
Konadu’s forms were accepted as complete, marking the official commencement of his quest to seek a second term as the Member of Parliament for the area.
“This marks the beginning of my quest to seek a second term as the Member of Parliament for the Manhyia North Constituency. I thank the Almighty God for how far He’s brought me and the Constituency”, the lawmaker wrote in a Facebook post.
“My appreciation and profound gratitude go to the Members of the New Patriotic Party and Constituents that followed yesterday to fulfil this very important requirement”, he added.
As he embarks on this journey, Konadu remains committed to serving his constituents and continuing the developmental initiatives he started during his first term.
The governing New Patriotic Party has slated 27 January 2024 for the parliamentary primaries. It is the last election to be held in constituencies with sitting MPs.
The vetting process is scheduled to take place from the 3rd to the 5th of January 2024, sources say.
