As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares for the 2024 parliamentary primaries, aspiring candidates are required to pay a substantial filing fee of 35,000 cedis.

The party has announced that nomination forms, costing 3000 Ghana Cedis, will be available starting December 20. Aspirants will however pay a 45000 Ghana Cedi ‘development fee’ to the party’s account.

The update was contained in a statement signed by the party’s General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong emphasizing its commitment to a fair and inclusive process.

The statement also assured that no aspirant will be denied access to nomination forms as the document would be available on its website.

Women, youth, and persons with disabilities will benefit from a 50% rebate on filing fees. The party had already conducted primaries in orphan constituencies, with notable winners such as Manaf Ibrahim and Dr. Bernard Okoe Boi who both won in the Asawase and Ledzokuku Constituencies.
