The New Patriotic Party (NPP) USA Chapter celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a significant event on 25 May, where Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Ghana’s Energy Minister, was honoured with a prestigious philanthropy award.
The accolade recognizes the Manhyia South lawmaker’s exceptional contributions to NPP-USA, his active participation in the organization’s activities, and his steadfast support and advocacy on issues affecting Ghanaians abroad.
The award was received on Dr. Prempeh’s behalf by Ekow Vincent Assafuah, Deputy Local Government Minister and the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, who conveyed Dr Prempeh’s gratitude and appreciation for the recognition.
Assafuah highlighted the Energy Minister’s dedication and tireless efforts in supporting NPP-USA, which have significantly impacted the organization’s success and the well-being of the Ghanaian diaspora.
The ceremony, held as part of the NPP-USA’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, featured speeches from notable members of the NPP-USA community.
Ing. Janis Asare Bediako, Chairman of the NPP-USA Washington Metro Chapter, praised Dr. Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, for his remarkable achievements as Energy Minister and his unwavering commitment to the party’s goals and the welfare of Ghanaians abroad.
Danny Opoku Antwi, the NPP-USA Youth Organizer, who spoke to dailymailgh.com, emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating leaders like Dr. Prempeh, whose contributions and dedication inspire and drive the party forward.
