The USA youth wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated motorbikes to their counterparts in the Ashanti Region.

The motorbike, purchased by Ing. Janis Asare Bediako, Patron of the NPP-USA Youth Wing and Chairman of the Washington DC Metro has been presented to the Youth Organizer of the Adanse Asokwa constituency.

The donation was announced during a brief ceremony on Friday (23 August). It was heavily attended by key party officials, including Sarfo Raphael Patrick, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer, along with constituency executives, electoral area coordinators, and polling station executives from the Adanse Asokwa constituency.

Asare Bediako told journalists that he was motivated by the broader initiative led by Sarfo Raphael Patrick, to equip all 47 constituency youth organizers in the Ashanti region with motorbikes to enhance their operational capabilities.

“The project encourages contributors to specify the constituencies for which they wish to provide motorbikes and so I chose Adanse Asokwa and I believe this will go a long way to help our party to ‘break the 8′”, Bediako who also serves the Housing and Infrastructure committee of the 2024 NPP Manifesto said.

“I also believe this gesture is intended to bolster the party’s grassroots operations, ensuring that youth organizers are well-equipped to support the campaign and mobilize voters effectively. This initiative is pivotal in the party’s strategy to secure victory for H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as President and H.E. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as Vice President in the upcoming elections”, he added.

Sarfo Raphael Patrick expressed profound gratitude to Chairman Janis Asare Bediako for his generous support, emphasizing that such contributions are vital for the party’s success. The donation highlights the commitment of the NPP-USA Youth Wing to strengthening the party’s efforts in its stronghold and advancing its campaign goals.

This is not the first time Ing. Janis Asare Bediako, who currently serves as the Coordinator of NGO, NAPO INSPIRES has extended such gestures to the party. He has fully funded the donation of Bawumia-branded T-shirts and distributed across party branches across the country. He also facilitated a soccer competition in the Manhyia South Constituency aimed at fostering unity within the rank and file of the party in that constituency.

As part of his philanthropy work, he has also made donations and brought cheer to inmates at the Kumasi Children’s Home, extended support to widows at the Harvesters Church in Kumasi and among others.
