Service Personnel are being reminded that work will resume on Monday, May 4, 2020, the National Service Scheme (NSS) said on Sunday.
The directive comes after personnel took a mandatory paid leave in March following the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ghana.
“The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS), today, May 3, 2020, directs all national service personnel to resume their national service duty with their respective user agencies effective Monday, May 4, 2020,” a statement issued by the Corporate Affairs Directorate of the scheme read in part.
The NSS, however, said national service personnel with private user agencies should liaise with their Human Resource Department or their heads of organization regarding reporting date and time in contingent with internal arrangement with their user agencies.
The NSS also reminded all service personnel to observe all safety protocols outlined by government in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak and urged user agencies to as much as possible “operationalize a shift system to reduce the frequency of human contact.”
