Obuasi Ashantigold SC attacker Yaw Annor beats Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC forward Franck Thierry Mbella Etouga to win the golden boot for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Yaw Annor scored two crucial goals on the final day of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season away at the DUN’S Park in Bibiani against Gold Stars FC.
The 24-year-old former Bechem United FC star player grabbed his brace inside the first half of the match to put the visitors in a healthy 2-0 first half lead.
Annor equaled Accra Hearts of Oak SC legend Ishmael Addo’s long standing record with his brace on the final day of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season.
Kotoko’s Mbella Etouga was on 21 goals going into the final of games of the Premier League campaign but failed to score on Saturday afternoon against Accra Lions FC.
With eEtouga failing to score on Saturday afternoon, Annor needed two goals against Gold Stars away from home to win the 2021-22 Golden Boot Award in a spectacular fashion equalling the record for most goals scored in a single Premier League campaign.
