Ghana’s Black Stars center-back Mohammed Salisu has signed for French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco from English Championship side Southampton FC.

The Ghanaian international, 24, has signed up for 5 seasons and is now linked with the Monegasque club until June 2028.

The Red and Whites outfit have officially announced the capturing of the towering Ghana Center-back from English Championship side Southampton FC on Tuesday evening.

He joined the Saints from Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid two seasons ago and was one of the most important players for the club.

Despite his young age, his consistency and level of performance in La Liga opened the doors to the Premier League and more specifically Southampton, where he joined in the summer of 2020.

Recognized across the Channel for his athletic qualities and his game aerial, the central defender of 1m91 becomes over the seasons an important element within the workforce of the Saints with whom he played a total of 80 games , including 68 in the Premier League.
