Belgium-based Ghanaian forward Osman Bukari grabbed his debut goal for the Black Stars against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener on Wednesday in Ghana’s big win.
Bukari came off the bench to score his first-ever goal for Ghana in comfortable win over the Barea of Madagascar at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
AFC Ajax Amsterdam star Kudus Mohammed and AS Roma wonder-kid Felix Afena-Gyan scored in the space of two minutes to give Ghana a 2-0 lead before the hour-mark, that is on the 54th and 56th minutes respectively.
Just on the 86th minute mark, Bukari put the icing on the cake with a sublime finish after rounding off goalkeeper Nina Razakanirina to seal victory for the Black Stars at home.
Bukari has made five appearances for the senior national team of Ghana since his promotion from the Ghana U23 team.
His tteam, KAA Gent has now recalled him from his loan after a successful campaign in the French Ligue 1 last season.
