Reflecting on the overwhelming support received during their previous encounter with Nigeria in the playoff final for the 2022 World Cup, Addo expressed gratitude and highlighted the crucial role played by passionate fans in propelling the team to victory.

“I was truly overwhelmed by the support we received last time we played here. It exceeded my expectations,” remarked Addo during a pre-match conference on Sunday.

He emphasized the unwavering support of the fans, regardless of the outcome, citing Kumasi’s consistent loyalty as a source of inspiration for the team.

“Support should be unwavering, irrespective of the outcome, and Kumasi has consistently demonstrated this loyalty,” he added.

Addo acknowledged the significance of playing in Kumasi, foreseeing it as a source of added motivation for the team, even during challenging times.

“Even in challenging times, I have no doubt that our fans will stand by us,” he affirmed.
