Pharmatrust Company donates items to Pharmacy council

On behalf of the Governing Board, Management and Staff of the Pharmacy Council, the Registrar of the Council, Pharm. Dr. Audu Rauf has received assorted items from Mr. Anthony Kwame Agyepong, CEO of Pharmatrust Company Ltd, a Pharmaceutical Company registered by the FDA to produce hand sanitizers.

In brief remarks, Dr admitted that the world today is facing new realities and disruption for healthcare professionals worldwide as a result of COVID 19.

He said the world more than ever is in dire need of creative and inventive minds and international cooperation to address this novel pandemic.

“Obviously, the novel SARS CoV-2 which is causing the disease termed as COVID 19 is putting an unprecedented pressure on social, health and economic systems across the globe.

“Therefore this gesture has really come at an opportune time to respond favourably to the tall list of requests on Pharmacy Council.”

Dr Rauf expressed his appreciation to Mr. Adjepong for his generosity and thanked the pharmaceutical workforce for playing their part in these unusual times.

The Registrar advised all Pharmacy practice settings to stock and dispense only FDA approved alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
