The People’s National Party (PNP) has announced the opening of nominations for various national positions, with forms available at the party’s Kokomlemle office.
According to a press release dated August 8, 2024, individuals interested in running for Presidential or Chairmanship positions must submit their forms with a fee of GH¢100,000. Those vying for Vice Chairman/Leader roles should pay GH¢50,000, while General Secretary candidates need to file their forms with GH¢30,000.
Fees for National Treasurer and National Organiser positions are set at GH¢20,000 each, and aspirants for National Women’s Organiser and National Youth Organiser roles are required to pay GH¢10,000 and GH¢20,000 respectively.
The press release also noted that female candidates are eligible for a 50% reduction in the filing fees.
All nominations must be picked up and filed by Thursday, August 15. The party’s congress will take place on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25.
