Police arrests suspected murderer in Wa

Police in Ghana’s Upper West Region have confirmed the arrest of a man who allegedly murdered a businessman in the capital Wa.

The suspect, 37-year-old Richard Ayore, is alleged to have stabbed to death a businessman named as Sule Tsantori, 35.

The incident which occurred last Wednesday at Dobile, a suburb of Wa triggered police investigations after the suspect went into hiding.

The suspect was later arrested at his hideout at Kaleo, a community in the Nadowlie-Kaleo Constituency on Monday, February 17, 2020.

“A spot search conducted on him revealed a reddish jack knife, a talisman, an opener and five different finger rings”, parts of a statement issued by the Upper West Regional Command said.

The suspect has since been detained and will be put before a competent court of jurisdiction for further investigation.
