The police have launched investigations into the murder of Nana Kwadwo Afordour, the Asamponhene of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The Ashanti regional police command has in a statement said it is “working earnestly to get the perpetrators arrested.”
The lifeless body of the sub-chief was found in the back seat of his Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle and abandoned at the outskirts of Ebuom on the Ejura-Nkoranza Road, Sunday.
The police are appealing to the general public to assist with voluntary information leading to the arrest of the murderers of the 46-year-old Asamponhene.
“The general public is also being urged to assist police investigations by volunteering information through police hotlines: MTN and Vodafone toll free lines 18555 and all networks on 191 or 0299202240,” a statement signed by spokesperson Godwin Ahianyo said.
The remains have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
