The police at Tafo/Pankrono in Kumasi are set to quiz Head Pastor of Light Salvation Ministry, Prophet Evans Oppong – after two children were found dead in his vehicle on Easter Sunday.

The whereabouts of 3-year-old Yaw Ahoto Marfo Asenso and Blessed Yiedie Boadi Boakye aged 2 who were with their parents to fellowship at the said church located at Fawoade in Kumasi, triggered a search.

They were later discovered unconscious inside Pastor Oppong’s KIA Sorento private car with registration number ER 201 –13 which was parked in front of the church.

The victims were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s emergency unit and the Zion Praise Hospital at Kona but were pronounced dead on arrival by medics.

Their bodies have since been deposited at the hospitals’ morgues for preservation and autopsy.

It still remains unclear how the two kids got trapped in the vehicle but the development has forced the church to suspend its activities, a church member who pleaded anonymity told dailymailgh.com.

Pastor Evans Oppong, who was in custody at the Mampongteng Police Station has been moved to the Tafo/Pankrono Divisional Police Command which has since taken over investigations.

The police will not immediately comment on the matter.
