Former Governor of the Bank of Ghana and NDC flagbearer hopeful Dr Kwabena Duffour has petitioned the party’s leadership to postpone the upcoming primaries.

This was contained in a letter written by Dr Duffour’s campaign team on Monday (8 May) and addressed to the General Secretary of the party.

The team contends in their petition that the voter register in its current state cannot be used to run the election after detecting several discrepancies in the album.

It says the development could undermine the credibility and fairness of the electoral process and further cause irreparable damage to their candidate. Dr Duffour wants the leadership of the NDC to among others clean the register to save the image of the party.
