President John Dramani Mahama is set to deliver his first State of the Nation Address today, Thursday, February 27. The much-anticipated speech is expected to highlight his administration’s key policies, economic strategies, and governance priorities.

Ghanaians eagerly await his vision on addressing critical national issues, including economic stability, job creation, infrastructure development, and national unity. Various stakeholders, such as the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and business leaders, have already expressed their expectations, urging the government to introduce concrete measures to tackle pressing concerns like the rising cost of living, unemployment, and wage disparities.

Mahama’s address will also serve as an opportunity to clarify the government’s “resetting agenda” and outline plans to revitalize key sectors of the economy.

The speech, which will be delivered before Parliament, is expected to spark reactions from both political and business communities as Ghana navigates its current economic and social challenges.
