Presidential Secretary Nana Bediatuo Asante hospitalized after UN trip, Jubilee House confirms

The Jubilee House has addressed rumours regarding the health of the Secretary to President Akufo-Addo, Nana Bediatuo Asante, confirming that he recently fell ill while on government business in the United States.

According to an official statement released on 2 October, Nana Bediatuo Asante became unwell after the conclusion of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he was part of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation.

He was subsequently admitted to a hospital in the U.S. for treatment and is currently in stable condition, responding well to medical care.

The Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, stated that Nana Bediatuo Asante is recovering steadily, and the medical team is optimistic about his swift return to full health.

The Office of the President also expressed gratitude for the prayers and support extended to Nana Bediatuo Asante and his family during this challenging time.
