Bernard Arthur has rejected claims that Hearts of Oak are refusing to play archrival Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the President’s Cup because they feared the latter.
Speaking to Dailymail.com.gh, the attacker said, “We are Hearts of Oak and we are not afraid of any Club in the world let alone in Ghana.”
“Hearts are the biggest football club in the country with a rich history so why should we be afraid of anyone including Kotoko?” the former Azam FC striker questioned.”
We are ready to play Kotoko anywhere, anytime because we believe in ourselves as a team,” he added.
“I am sure the match will eventually be played and we shall know who the best on the field of play is that day.”
Arthur joined the rainbow family this summer on a year contract with an option to renew and already relishing his time with his new teammates.
