With a commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive community, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, the Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim and Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, has launched an ambitious initiative to transform his constituency.
Armah’s “New Kwesimintsim Dream” (NKD), articulated through his “HEAL Kwesimintsim” programme, promises to bring lasting improvements in health, education, agriculture, and governance, setting the stage for what he describes as a “thriving and empowered community.”
Outlining his plan, the MP said the foundational pillars of the HEAL initiative are: health, infrastructure and social services delivery; education and training; agriculture, entrepreneurship and jobs; and leadership and governance. Each pillar is designed to elevate living standards across Kwesimintsim by addressing long-standing issues such as healthcare accessibility, job creation, and community development.
Through significant investments, he has already delivered modern infrastructure, including mechanised water systems in 20 communities, new storm drains to curb flooding, and improved roads. The construction of modern CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) compounds across the constituency also underscores Armah’s commitment to accessible healthcare.
Education and skill development are also central to Armah’s vision. Under his leadership, classrooms, scholarships, and skills training programs have been expanded, including vocational programs for youth and over 20,000 donated instructional materials.
With a focus on job creation and economic growth, Armah has also promoted agricultural training and entrepreneurship opportunities, distributing farm inputs to over 1,000 local farmers and equipping hundreds of young people with skills in vocational trades. Through targeted grants and mentorship programs, he seeks to foster sustainable livelihoods for his constituents.
In his appeal to the people of Kwesimintsim, Armah stressed on transparency and unity, pledging that his leadership would continue to bring “quality, accessible governance” that truly reflects the community’s needs.
