A taxi driver Solomon Tayoya was shot dead by suspected robbers on Thursday at Duayaw Nkwanta, the capital of Tano North Municipal in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.
The robbers, according to police report, bolted with the vehicle (AS 1611-18) of the 27-year-old around 6pm.
A fellow taxi driver Yaw Kuma chanced on him lying in a pool of blood by the roadside and rushed him to the St. John of God Hospital at Duayaw Nkwanta where he was pronounced dead.
According to Kuma, the deceased told him he was shot by two unknown male passengers who boarded his taxi cab from Tepa towards Sunyani.
His body is being preserved at the morgue pending autopsy.
The police have launched investigation into the case.
