President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has unveiled a statue of himself at the entrance of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi during his one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region.

Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, explained that the statue serves as a tribute to the president’s contributions to the region, including the rehabilitation of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle. However, these projects remain unfinished, with some even suspended.

While in Takoradi on Wednesday, November 6, President Akufo-Addo addressed residents and reflected on his tenure, claiming to have fulfilled 80% of his promises to Ghanaians. He urged voters to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections, emphasizing that doing so would ensure the continuation of his administration’s initiatives.

The President also highlighted the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy as his most significant legacy, pointing to its transformative effects on education across the country.
