Seven new COVID-19 deaths hit Ghana as cases reach 43,717

Seven more persons have passed on due to coronavirus in Ghana, taking the death toll to 270, according to the Health Service.

The Ghana Health Service also announced 95 new cases in its Tuesday, August 25, 2020 report. Currently, the West African nation has recorded a total of 43,717 cases since COVID-19 first entered the country in March.

The active cases stand at 1,604 following 41,843 recoveries or discharges, per the update.
