Sharp drop in Ghana’s coronavirus active cases

Ghana’s coronavirus active cases have recorded a sharp fall from 530 to 413 as of October 1, 2020.

The latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) indicates that 30 new cases have been recorded, culminating in an overall caseload of 46,656.

The death toll still remains at 301.

In all 45,942 recoveries and discharges have been confirmed since COVID-19 was first imported into the West African country mid-March 2020.

Ever since the international airport – Kotoka – was re-opened on September 1, 2020 the country has recorded 42 cases from international travelers. Three persons are currently on ventilators while six cases have been declared critical.
