Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has launched his foundation which aims at alleviating the plight of the youth.
The core vision of the foundation dubbed the Shatta Foundation hopes to impact and make changes in areas like education, healthcare, human capital development, capacity building and skill development.
Assisting in health issues will include periodic medical screening and partnership with pharmaceutical companies to provide drugs to less deprived communities and individuals.
The dancehall artiste also launched a back to school campaign that will motivate kids to not only go to school but stay in school as well.
Taking to Twitter he wrote, “The primary aim for me and my team is to always put smile on people faces through entertainment and financial support.”
He added that” “The Shatta Foundation is here to change our society for the better and uplift the vulnerable to create a better future for all”.
He went on to urge his followers to “be part of the generation that came to help change our society.”
